Daniel Sussman is an award-winning screenwriter and fine art photographer. He has sold screenplays to major American and European studios and production companies, and written for network television. Before moving to Los Angeles, Sussman was a commercial still life photographer in NYC. He is a graduate of Amherst College, New York University School of Law, and the University of Southern California's School of Cinema/Television. The two major influences in his photographs are Irving Penn and Stephen Shore. Currently, he also teaches writing at UCLA.
Sussman has been making photographs for almost fifty years. Based on the range of subjects in his photographs, and their technical dexterity, it’s apparent that his life-long obsession with making photographs is both deeply felt and beautifully realized.
His work is sold in the U.S. by Metropolitan Galleries in Austin, TX. and online.
